- This is a “student” challenge meaning that the problem must be solved entirely by student teams
- Teams will consist of graduate and/or undergraduate students.
- Teams shall have at least 3 students.
- Teams must designate a team leader who will act as the primary point of contact between the SDR Forum and the team
- The teams must have a faculty advisor. Faculty advisors are not allowed to contribute directly to the development of the solution, but rather to advise the teams on technology and process.
- The team members have to declare that they did not receive any help by third parties other than outlined in their documentation.
- The academic challenge is international in nature, and open to colleges and universities world wide.
- No more than three teams may enter the SDR Forum Academic Challenge from each college or university. Each team must work independently and have a different academic advisor.
