Items provided through SDRF AC Sponsors will be standard “Commercial-Off-The-Shelf” products, or advanced “beta” products, and may include:
- Integrated Circuits, including RF/IF Devices, signal processing devices, A/D Converters, D/A Converters, etc.
- RF, IF, and Baseband processing boards or sub-assemblies
- Integrated development environments and tools
- Firmware development tools
- Modeling tools
- documentation
Sponsors may provide the teams training, but may not help them in developing the overall solution.
Sponsors will submit a list of items they wish to provide to the SDR Forum Academic Challenge in advance of the Phase 1 kick-off including quantity , availability date, licenses, and return requirements. The list will be reviewed by the SDRF AC Committee, A list outlining all of the accepted items from sponsors will be provided to the teams at the start of each Phase 1 of the challenge.
Items provided by sponsors will remain the property of the sponsor, and unless otherwise stated by the sponsor, shall be returned to the sponsor upon completion of the challenge
Sponsors get their logo on the Academic Challenge web site, and on all associated literature and promotional events.
Levels of sponsorship:
Headline sponsor these sponsorships are individually negotiated
- Platinum sponsor - provides a $35 K Sponsorship, gets 6 attendees at the SDRF conference, gets to provide 6 judges to participate in the challenge award process, gets premium PR opportunities
- Gold sponsor - provides a $15 K sponsorship, gets 3 attendees at the SDRF conference, gets to provide 3 judges to participate in the award process
- Silver sponsor - provides a $5K sponsorship, gets 1 attendee at the conference, gets to provide 1 judge to participate in the award process
- Bronze sponsors - may provide funding, products, or scholarships to attend SDRF sponsored activities totaling $1K or more in value of goods and services.
Sponsors who provide inkind materials get to provide training sessions at the SDR Forum fall conference describing how to use their components, tools, or products.
